Pause: daily mindfulness App Reviews

Amazing experience!

For those new to the app, ignore the 1 or 2 star reviews. They completely miss the concept of the app. May be thinking as if its some kind of puzzle. The app is gorgeous ad minimalistic, yet highly effective. This is not a puzzle or goal based game, it will not trigger your brains reward center and thats the whole point. To think and do nothing for few minutes while keeping a focus on one point or activity. Its a must try.

Relaxing

Simple but effective for me. I do wish there was more option in color and sound choice.

Makes me fall asleep every single time

Every time

Amazing!

Does exactly what it says it will. I feel so centered afterwards. Great job!

I Absolutely Love this App!

It not only relaxes me, and helps me to regain my mental serenity, it has also brought my digestive system into a calmness and rejuvenated its chi flow. Thank you!

Not a fan

Im sure some people will find this relaxing but it really aggravated me. I deleted the app. I originally got it thinking it would be relaxing or a quick distraction but I just dont have the patience for this at all.

Great, but needs more

Please add the ability to play audio in the background

Not worth the money

This app is too basic there is nothing to it to make me relax. I am busy and this app to me personally was a waste of two bucks.

Too much $

I love the app... Very stress relieving because I have bad anxiety and it puts me at peace. But, I dont think the app is worth 2 dollars. I feel like the app should be free and you should not have to pay

Do not waste your time.

This app is not worth the money, it should be free.

Great

Great app, well made. Would like to be able to play it without bells blaring in my ear though, maybe a mute button in the settings?

Pause

Gave me more anxiety.

Great app!

When I am stressed, there isnt really much that a can do to help my mind just slow down and I wasnt thinking this would work, but as soon as it told me to close my eyes I was completely relaxed. Nice job developers!

Cut my finger

So I was winding down after a long day and was browsing the App Store for a new app when I came across this. At first this app seemed amazing! I was sliding my finger all over the screen with my eyes closed, when suddenly, my screen was wet. I opened my eyes and my screen was covered in blood. Silly me, I forgot about the crack on my phone screen. So now Im sitting in the ER getting my finger stitched. 0/10 would not download again.

hoping for an update

i wish there was a beginning tutorial for this because even though this is an app for relaxation, i find myself frustrated with it more often than not. im not sure how fast or slow im supposed to be moving or why the interface doesnt recognize my finger movements, which leaves me clueless as to how people could be beyond novice level. its not intuitive and needs adjustments.

Didnt do much to relax me

I frankly found just listening to relaxing music to be much better. The concept of keeping the users attention and actively directing them to relax seems great, but didnt work for me with this App.

Not bad

I really appreciate the team effort But it just music

Useless scam

I tried it.. And I Dont like it.. Regret paying money for it.. I feel its a scam. It does NOTHING.. I feel nothing afterwards! V disappointed!

Mindfulness at hand

Ive done mindfulness work in a lot of settings, but I dont often have time or the structured environment to really settle down for a long stretch-- but I still need that pause (apt name). Yes, this is very simple, but I appreciate that; its what I was looking for. If you do want something more complex, then this may not be the best choice. What this is good for (for me): tense moments during the day when I need a breather. The first time I used it, I was frustrated because I felt like the blob expanded too fast, like it was giving too many directions, etc. I realized that was my mind focusing too much on the details of the app and being distracted from mindfulness practice: once I let all that go and let myself fall into the soothing aspects, it worked beautifully. Your degree of satisfaction may vary depending on how much youre willing to let go of focus on design details and drift I to mindfulness practice-- and that is purely an individual preference. It is too bad that there isnt a brief trial period or demo so that users could see which side of the line they fall on before paying. My best advice is to ask yourself whether or not youre typically bothered by function or if you can set that aside.

Great for showing people what meditation is and convincing them they need it

The word meditation seems to have acquired a reputation for having to do with mysticism and woo-woo nonsense pseudo-spirituality, which is extremely inaccurate and unfortunate. This app makes you do something that naturally puts you in a calm meditative state, and in doing so shows you how much you benefit from it. For people who are already good at meditating this may not be all that helpful.
